As part of his role as mentor to musicians at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge, Matthew has given masterclasses to singers, conductors and the Chapel Choir.

Workshops, Education & Community
Matthew is passionate about spreading the appeal of, and access to, music and conducting. Matthew has conducted orchestras of up to 90 children at Prep School Orchestral Days at Wellington College, introducing children to Mussorgsky and Mahler. He has played a big part in Opera Holland Park's 'Minute Maestro' scheme, teaching conducting to all-comers: From four-year old children, to some of Kensington and Chelsea borough's looked-after teenagers, to interested adults, and celebrities such as cricketer Stuart Broad and television presenter Gok Wan, Matthew has had the honour of opening up a the world of the orchestra and music to countless newbies.
Matthew was delighted to be asked by Opera Holland Park to act as musical consultant on their Inspire workshop of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. He was a facilitator in the first workshop, which has gone on to be used in junior schools across London.
He was asked to conduct the Royal Opera House Community Chorus, preparing them to sing music from Carmen with Jette Parker Young Artist Soloists, as well as classics such as Eena Meena Deeka!
